A newly published, peer-reviewed study in the Journal of Animal Science is shedding light on how nutrition can support mobility and healthy aging in senior dogs. The 42-day study evaluated the inclusion of plasma in diets for dogs experiencing mobility challenges, focusing on mobility scoring, digestibility, and key biomarkers linked to inflammation and joint health.
Results showed improvements in lameness scores, favorable changes in inflammatory and joint-related biomarkers, and enhanced crude protein digestibility.
These findings add to the growing body of research supporting the role of targeted nutrition in promoting mobility and overall well-being in aging companion animals.
