Welcome Pet Parents and Lovers!

We’re delighted to extend a warm paw-shake to fellow pet enthusiasts like you. If you’ve found your way here, it’s no coincidence – you’re on the brink of discovering something truly remarkable – the many benefits of plasma-based ingredients for pet foods, treats and supplements. Incorporating plasma into your pet’s diet is not just about enhancing their nutrition; it’s part of an integrative and holistic approach to whole-body health and nutrition.

Our mission is simple: to elevate the health and well-being of our beloved pets through the power of plasma.

How do we achieve this? Well, it all starts with meticulously selecting and processing premium animal-derived plasma proteins. Through our specialized methods, we convert this exceptional fraction into a powdered form, which finds its way into numerous pet food products. We’re passionate about discussing the many benefits plasma offers our furry friends, so let’s talk a bit about plasma.

What is plasma?

Plasma is a protein-rich ingredient naturally found in all meat. Plasma contains not only protein, but also essential amino acids, and bioactive functional proteins. These nutrients play a vital role in supporting pet health, including gut function, muscle development and the overall immune system.

What are the benefits of plasma for my pet?

Feeding Dog and Cat

Plasma is rich in high-quality proteins, essential amino acids, and other nutrients. Not only is it an excellent source of nutrition, plasma supports overall pet health and well-being. It does this through functional proteins that support gut health, immunity, muscle development and allows pets to better utilize nutrients. As a bonus, pets love the taste of plasma!

Is plasma sourced ethically and sustainably for pet food production?

extruded treats and pet foods

Reputable pet food manufacturers prioritize ethical sourcing and sustainable practices. They ensure that the plasma used in their products comes from reliable and humane sources, meeting industry standards for quality and safety. Plasma is a highly sustainable ingredient and has a low carbon footprint.

How can I ensure that the pet food I choose contains high-quality plasma?

Look for reputable pet food brands that prioritize transparency in their ingredient sourcing and manufacturing processes. Reading product labels, consulting with veterinarians, and choosing well-established brands can help ensure the quality and safety of the plasma in your pet’s food.

WHY HAVEN’T I heard of plasma in pet food before?

Plasma has been used in pet foods for more than thirty years, but most people didn’t know to look for it in their pet food ingredients. There are more than 600 published journal articles that show the power of plasma and the positive impact it has on the overall well-being of animals. In fact, 8,000,000 animals are positively impacted daily, around the world, through the nutrition and health benefits provided by plasma.

Charlie joined the home of Stephanie, our Marketing Coordinator’s, home after years of her family begging for a dog. Now she can’t imagine life without her faithful buddy. If there’s one thing Charlie can’t resist, it’s a game of fetch. His love for chasing after that beloved ball is so intense, we sometimes have to sneak it away just to give him (us) a break!

MEET ZIP & BUSTER
MEET ZIP & BUSTER

Dogs aren’t just pets, they are family according to Beth Saxton, our Director of Global Marketing. Her family once had three labrador retrievers affectionately called “the herd”. Time took a toll and now Zip remains as the 11 year old, still spry queen bee and has been joined by her new rescue best friend Buster. Together they love car rides, chewing on bones and of course, dog birthday parties.

MEET IRON
MEET IRON

Meet Iron, a 6-year-old mix of American Staffordshire and Mastiff. From day one, Iron’s been a bundle of surprises, growing bigger & faster than expected! Iron’s not just a big softie; he’s fiercely protective and incredibly loyal, making him the ultimate companion. Gloria, Iron’s mom and our Marketing Coordinator at APC Europe, ensures he’s the perfect pup by taking him to socialization classes with other dogs. This helps Iron be his best self while enjoying playtime with other pups!

Zape, a 10-year-old cat who unexpectedly became Carmen Rodriguez’s companion, prefers sunbathing on blankets and cuddling up close, showing affection by rubbing his nose against the family’s faces while purring. He’s cherished as a beloved family member, joining in on everything from daily routines to special occasions, often settling on Carmen’s lap as she works from home as APC Europe’s R&D Project Manager. A fun fact: Zape loves chasing after a ball and bringing it back for more!

MEET MERKIN JANE AND CHUCK
MEET MERKIN JANE AND CHUCK

These two cuties belong to our Senior Marketing Coordinator, Tara Nelson. Both Merkin Jane and Chuck are 11-and-a-half-year-old rescues and are still as spunky as ever. Miss Merkin enjoys basking in the sunshine, napping, and doing her daily duty of neighborhood watch from the dining room window. As an expert in security, Chuck loves walking the perimeter of the property and letting strangers and squirrels alike know to stay off his lawn, a.k.a. his pride and joy. Oh, and of course, napping. If there’s one message that they’d both like to share, it would be, “Rescue, Foster and Adopt – Don’t Shop!”

MEET MAGGIE
MEET MAGGIE

Meet Maggie, the lively 3-year-old Boxer who stole the heart of our Director of Global Pet Food Sales, Roger. Maggie has her priorities straight: her favorite times of the day are breakfast time, nap time, and dinner time—moments she eagerly looks forward to! Despite her love for food and relaxation, Maggie takes her role as a guard dog seriously. Positioned by her cozy dog bed, she stands ready to alert her owners to any potential intruders—though her idea of guarding often includes an invitation to play rather than fierce barking.

MEET REMI AND GIA
MEET REMI AND GIA

Meet Remi and Gia, two different breeds, but sharing similar dog desires, in the home of our Senior VP of Sales, Tom Schmitt. Remi is Tom’s hunting companion for the last 12+ years, enjoying her time spent retrieving in a pheasant field or a duck blind. Gia is 6 and is our unique Yorkie with a definite “fear of missing out” complex. Gia is a different Yorkie that actually swims and retrieves just like our Lab Remi. She even joined in on a local morning pheasant hunt last year. Both enjoy relaxing rides in the boat during the summer.
